On Tuesday, we had one of our rare thunderstorms here in the Bay Area. I was so excited as it was Sam’s first rain, and where was he? Contentedly asleep in the sling :-). So I took some pictures of our new backyard to remember the day for him.

I (Kathy) grew up in Texas and thoroughly enjoyed watching the storms roll in on the horizon — windows shuttering and lightning flashing. I’ve been dissappointed to find out that my choices of locations to live as an adult (Boston and Sunnyvale being the primary ones), don’t produce such meteorologic spectacles on a regular basis, if ever (Boston’s rain is the worst — the Bay Area does get some storms but only rarely).
