A little less conversation
Sam seems to have redirected his focus from language development back to
physical development (something he’s done this multiple times since he first started verbalizing (around 4 months or so)– usually it’s one or the other that he’s "working on" and after a number of weeks (anywhere between 4 and 10), he usually switches). In the last 2 weeks, he’s demonstrated more
interest in walking and even took one step on the 15th (a fete he
hasn’t repeated so we’re not "counting" it). Until recently, he didn’t show any interest in holding our hands and walking with us — but that changed about 2 weeks ago too.
He’s also climbing a lot and even pushed his lego box over to the couch yesterday and raised his leg to try to use it as a step stool to get up on the couch! He only partially succeeded but it was fun to watch :-).
He’s also very interested
in animals and can identify by finding/crawling to and holding up many of his
animal toys: pig, lion finger puppet, bear, chicken, doggie, frog,
horse, among others.
