How life has changed
I shot this short "documentary" of Sam recently to show how things have changed since he’s started walking proficiently. We spend much of our time, when we’re at home, investigating different parts of the house, opening "Sam’s drawers" in the kitchen, doing laps through the playroom-kitchen-TV room-playroom, picking up "leftover" Cheerios/macaroni/banana off the floor, and then going down the hall to see if, by chance, one of the doors was left open so Sam can investigate the offices, bedrooms, or bathrooms.
As you can see, our kitchen floor (and often the TV room floor too) is an obstacle course of tupperware, lids, shoes, cutting boards, refrigerator letters and Mr. Potato Head magnet pieces. And the letters have the added bonus of sticking to the bottom of feet so when we walk with them, it sounds like we’re wearing tap shoes :-).
Wednesday the 9th marked a month since Sam started walking — I love how he still is fond of carrying socks and how he grins with his accomplishments. what fun this stage is!
