Play date September 29

We invited our play group crew over on Friday for some after-nap fun.  After gobbling JS’s cookies, SPL proceeded to "borrow" any sippy cup he could get his hands on.  The other funny thing was I’d put out two pitchers filled with water (on the counter) and upon waking from his nap, Sam *immediately* noticed them (he is eagle eyed — for real.  If there is a new container in the kitchen, be it Windex, a bottle of wine, or a bottle of Aleve, Sam will see it and point it out).  The funny part was the way in which he looked at me after he saw the pitchers — it was as if he were saying, "mom, you’ve been holding out on me (I rarely get out the pitchers)!"  I laughed — and then emptied one of them so he could play with it.

I was also just thinking that it’s been just over a year since we met these kids and their moms — at El  Camino Hospital Moms’ Group (I think Sam was 7 weeks old when we started) — it’s been amazing to watch them all grow.

Oh, and since I have been thinking more about privacy lately (and reading other folks’ posts about it re. their kids), I’ve decided it’d be better if I just use initials for the other kids.
