Shorties
Our friends Al, Lori, and A were in town for a wedding this past weekend and they spent the night with us Sunday night. Last time we saw them was out here when A was 5 months old-ish and I was 6-7 months pregnant with SPL.
A is now 22 months old and it was fascinating to watch him and SPL together. A is an easy going kid — who captivated us at once with his charming smile and "yup". It was fun to listen to his words — some his own creation, some commonly used. He can also count (though like all kids his age he sometimes loses track of which item he’s pointing to :-), plus knows his ABCs. He’s a big fan of Elmo and Big Bird (Sam still hasn’t made their acquaintance yet ). He also can identify every type of car — buick, BMW, chevy, nissan, honda, you name it.
SPL enjoyed having someone his size around and it was fun for me and John to have some time to catch up with Al and Lori. They moved to Philadelphia a few years ago — but thankfully Lori is an awesome blogger so we manage to stay up-to-date through her gifted narratives :-).
