The Emu’s been ousted…..
…by a moose :-).
Last night Sam picked the moose ornament off the lower branches of our Christmas tree and was carrying it around, when all of a sudden we noticed the moose was losing body parts. First, it was the moose’s leg (it was attached by a small screw). And this it was the moose’s ear (he whacked the moose against the wooden armrest of our chair).
After that, we retired the moose to his home on the tree– this time on a higher branch (by his new buddy, the caroling frog :-).
This morning, after pointing to his bear on the floor, the first thing out of his mouth was "Moose."
I didn’t catch it at first but after a few repeats, I caught on and laughed out loud.
Now we have 2 Wikipedia pages open on this laptop. But I think the emu is on his/her way out as we visited the moose’s spot on the tree at least 6 times today (Sam would come grab my hand and walk me over to the tree — it’s hilarious 🙂 and the Wiki 3 or so times — and we only saw the emu Wiki once.
