that was then, this is now

Some of the "old gang" got together for dinner on sunday night to catch up, celebrate, and say good bye :-(. Our 4 families met as part of a local hospital’s moms’ group program which provides support to new moms (and moms of 2nd or more children too). all the kids are born within 2 weeks of each other (CP is the "oldest" born on July 10, and then A on the 11th and then SPL on the 13th — did I get all those right? and then the youngest is KM on July 30. Funny thing was the original group was 13 boys and 3 girls and all 3 girls were at dinner on Sunday with SPL, the only dude 🙂
We met weekly from when the kids were about 7 weeks old until they were about 10 months old. Since then, we’ve seen each other here and there: at swim class or playdates, but not as regularly, unfortunately. click on the photos for bigger versions.
April 2006 (all about 9months old): Can you find SPL? And our buddy A is on the far right in a white top.

SPL and buddy KM in February 2006 (KM is 2 weeks younger)

From left to right: CP, SPL, KM and AN (wasn’t able to make it to dinner 😦

And look at them now!
KM and CP eating all by themselves and talking and laughing up a storm. Not to mention how much hair they all have — and their teeth!!?!
Starting w/ the green bib is KM, to her left is CP, then SPL, and then A (bottom right corner). (Yes, that’s John — he got cut off :-).
We are saying goodbye to KM and her parents who are moving to Pasadena in July. Sad to see them go but they are heading back to Emily’s hometown to be closer to family (they’re expecting TWINS in September!?!?) and start a new chapter. We will miss you all!
