Basketball: from interest to addiction (video)
SPL has taken to basketball like a man with a mission — and I’m not exaggerating when I say that he now plays an average of 1-2 hours per day! His interest started 3-4 weeks ago and has evolved into an single-minded focus: must play basketball. Thankfully the weather is nice and we can be outside morning, noon, and night (`til 6:30 pm some evenings!).
We play at school too on Wednesdays and the parents (who see him only once a week) have been commenting each week that he’s getting better and better (and more and more focused :-). When I started videoing yesterday, I got lucky and got him making 3 shots in a row. I turned off the camera thinking "that was pretty great" and then he proceeded to knock down 3 more (with the full-sized ball 🙂
He’s even saying "I’m Brooke Lopez" or "I’m Robin Lopez" (apologies to all the UK fans in the family :-).
