Spring Break Adventures Part I: Ardenwood Farm

This week was spring break for me and for SPL’s preschool so we planned 2 special trips – both to local farms :-).  Ardenwood has a program for young kids on Tuesdays during which they feature an animal: read stories about the animal, then give kids a chance to interact with the animal by feeding them or petting them or both.  Tuesday’s animal was the rabbit.  there was a large group of 2-5 year old kids so SPL stuck with me for the most part (they had a circle time, story time and he didn’t sit with the group).  But when the docent got the bunny out of its cage, he ventured forward to get a closer look (no pictures unfortunately).

We also saw peacocks, lambs, played in the hay, andfound a Lamb’s Ear plant that the kids were fascinated by.  The best part was we got to see some of our old buddies from last year’s preschool class: 2 sets of twins: AS and ES (identical girls) and JA and EA (fraternal boys)
