Election Day

Yesterday as we got into the car to drive to the polling place, SPL noticed a piece of paper in the car that he had written on a few days ago and declared (unprompted from me) that it was “his vote.”
And when we got to our polling location, he got out, walked inside with me, and handed the poll volunteer his vote declaring “this is my vote.” The volunteer smiled and said “thank you” and gave him an “I voted” sticker :-).
And when we got back into the car, I asked him (again unprompted) “who did you vote for?” and he said “Barack Obama.”
so the video isn’t the original, but I wanted to capture it as I thought it was a fun moment.
And as President-Elect Obama was announced last night, SPL was excited, and we talked about it for a bit, and then promptly fell asleep on my lap on the couch (hasn’t done that in a *long* time).
