Feeding the sheep @ Ardenwood Farm
Yesterday, while John was in Utah, SPL and I went to celebrate spring at Ardenwood Farm. The lambs had just arrived and were between 1 and 3 weeks old. Next month the goats arrive 🙂
SPL liked feeding the mommy sheep alfalfa but shied away from letting them eat out of his hand (as many of the other children were doing). Ardenwood has great programs for children including “barnyard buddies” where you feed the animals and “new arrivals” where they get an up close view of the babies (that is IF the mommies will let them, which yesterday, they did not 🙂
He also loved “the old fashioned way” and investigating the old where he decided to “make banana bread.”
