2011 is a big year for our family: John and Kathy turn 40, Nan also reaches a milestone (will leave it up to you to determine), Grandpa reaches 75 and Kate and Emily turn 10.
wow.
So we kicked this memorable year off with John's 40th in January. We had a brunch to mark the occasion (his actual birthday was on Sunday so that was convenient) and
were able to come over to celebrate (
and Chandre, Shrep and Erin,
, Adam,
and kids,
and kids ). It was rather last minute but everyone was able to join us and for that we are grateful.
Kathy's 40th was just last week and she spent it traipsing through Pulgas Reserve with SPL's Adventure Day class looking for pack rat dwellings, milkmaid flowers, and hounds tongue plants. It was a fun way to spend the day and
n! We had a fun dinner of pizza and overpriced cupcakes and continued the celebration through Friday when John and SPL gallantly braved the Apple store line to get me a new iPad :-).
We are looking forward to a great year.
