I'm not sure where to start as I am so very, very, very, very far behind on SPL's blog. November 5: Lost his 5th tooth            November 16: seeing the Chess Champ in action We had the most incredible opportunity Fall 2012 to see the #1 Ranked Chess Player in the World, Magnus Carlsen.  He was here raising awareness and promoting his program that encourages chess in elementary schools in the US.  He played 5 kids simultaneously WITH HIS BACK TURNED!!?!?!  And he kept track of all the games without taking notes.  It was incredible.  We even got our photo taken with him afterwards.  What a great opportunity for SPL who started playing chess this fall at his school. November 19: learning to make noodles with Chun Hua             Grandma visits from TX in November: We had a fun long weekend with grandma celebrating her birthday and spending some time with Beth and the kids.  We went out for Subway sandwiches and played putt-putt golf among other fun adventures.  Thanks for coming Grandma!         Fall fun with friends -- SPL saw his old friend NM and KM (NM was a friend from preschool in Mountain View) for a visit in November.  He also continued to be friends with TK, seen here upside down on the zipline (a favorite fall activity for SPL).  SPL has gotten to be better friends with KC and JW as well now that the olders from last year are in 2nd grade.
