Sam went to his first Stanford basketball game on Saturday November 5th. It was just an exhibition game against Sonoma State so no biggie. We were hoping to get him conditioned to the noise and cheering before the real season starts next weekend.

Sam was a trooper crying only a little bit at the beginning. As the game got going, he watched intently and seemed to be ok with the crowd, lights, buzzer, and energy of Maples. Wait `til Arizona comes to town :-).

I’m also realizing that my days of yelling at the refs are probably over sadly. Sam really responds to both me and John (at home, he was watching the Stanford v. UCLA football game with his dad when John let out a whoop for one of Stanford’s TDs. Sam’s face clouded up, his lip jutted out, and he burst into tears 🙂
