19 weeks: Sam finds his feet!
Feet have got to be the most fascinating things next to hands and Sam found his this week! He’s most fond of grabbing his left foot with his left hand while shoving his right hand into his mouth :-).
He also seems to have flipped his sleep pattern from sleeping 4-5 hours, then 2 hours, then 2 hours to now sleeping 2 hours, 2 hours then 4-5 hours. The first few nights of this were pretty rough as I was still "with the old Sam" and trying to sleep soon after he fell asleep so I too could maximize the longest sleep segment. Boy was I a bit put out when, after going to sleep at 9 pm, I was awakened at 10 — and then again at midnight :-/. Made for some groggy days.
But once we realized it was in fact a pattern change, it made life a lot easier. I’d just wait until 10 pm so go to sleep (closer to my sleep rhythms anyway) and then wake with him @ midnight and 4 or 5 am.
