One of my favorite places to visit while we’re on Saint Simon’s Island is Jack’s candle factory.  Jack is "an engineer’s engineer" and designed and built all of the components of this innovative place: from the chemistry of the candles, to the electricity to power different components, to the mechanics of creating the candles — Jack figured it all out– and it truly is a wonder to behold.  The best part was we got a behind-the-scenes tour from Jack which was both extremely educational (I’m always blown away by how deep his knowledge is in such a broad range of topics) and fun!
