Friendship
March-07 012
One of the kids from preschool has been coming over to play with SPL and it’s fun to watch them interact, play in parallel :-), and talk about each other once they’ve gone home. SPL’s recent storytelling about WC goes like this:
[sitting @ our dining room table]
SPL: "Pan." (a request for banana bread in Spanish).
Me: "Do you want some pan?"
SPL: "Billiam?" (the way Sam says his friend’s name)
Me: "Yes, Billiam came over and had some pan with you last week."
SPL: [smiles and points to his seat where Billiam sat while he was eating his pan]
Me: "Billiam sat in your chair?"
SPL: "Yep." "Courtney" and points to another chair.
Me: "Was that where Billiam’s mom sat while she was here?"
SPL: "Yep."
then SPL will clasp his hands together re-enacting the time when William took SPL’s hand while we were walking home from the park 🙂
Funny how pan is now inextricably linked to "Billiam." Every time we have bread (which is 2-3 times a day these days), it provokes a conversation about Billiam :-).
