In my quest to find something we really needed (a child toilet seat) I also found a really cool ABC "chunky" puzzle at my favorite toy store online.  I was feeling a bit overindulgent — afterall, SPL has *many* toys and many puzzles — did he really need another one (actually two — I bought him the numbers puzzle too :-)?

The box arrived yesterday (ironically, the toilet seat got bumped "mysteriously" off my order so I had to call them to reorder 😦 and we opened it up.  SPL took to the puzzle like a duck to water — and by the time he showed his dad that evening (about an hour after opening it), he could say *and match* 6 or so of the letters.

and it reminded me that sometimes a toy just clicks developmentally. 

And that it’s ok to indulge yourself and your kid sometimes :-).
