Off to his first day of preschool!
Yesterday SPL and I packed his snack bag and backpack (plus 2 toys that he also selected) and piled in the car for preschool. This will be our 2nd year with Preschool Family, a parent education and preschool program offered by Palo Alto Unified School District (and open to people from all neighborhoods, not just PA).
It was short class — only 1 hour as opposed to our usual 2. Next Wednesday we start 2 hour sessions. We met Teacher Judy and other parents & kids, as well as reconnected with 4 other families who were in our class last year.
Upon entering the new classroom, he immediately beelined it for the kitchen 🙂 and started playing with 2 other kids who were there. This year was dramatically different from a year ago when we neither played *in* the classroom, nor with another child, until December :-).
