Nikhyl and Chandre's wedding

Over Presidents’ Day weekend, our dear friend Nikhyl got married to a lovely woman named Chandre. Thanks to his Auntie Suchi, SPL had the perfect outfit:
:-). He looked very handsome, if I do say so myself.
The
was in downtown San Francisco, and SPL’s favorite part was that
a horse, around the block to arrive at the wedding (we got some honks and cheers from well-wishers as we processed around — the
and friends lead the procession with him on the horse (
) right behind). Of course SPL had to know the horse’s name and when he was told it was named
the nickname John gave his grandmother when he was a boy), SPL got an even bigger kick out of it.
The men in Nikhyl’s party wore pink shawls. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any photos of Chandre as we spent all of the actual ceremony playing with SPL and other 2-4 year olds in the foyer :-).
Speaking of children in the foyer, it was nice to go to a wedding where children were included and celebrated. I know it’s not easy embrace such unpredictable and energetic humans at a more formal elegant occasion, but we parents are grateful!
It was a wonderful occasion and we wish Nikhyl and Chandre much love and happiness as they begin their lives together!
