Playing with a toy with his dad this weekend — John said he needed to take the toy away for a minute and SPL’s reply was "but dad, I want to see how it works."
John got some new granola cereal at the store and SPL, always interested in what his parents have to eat :-), said "Can I have some? Is it ok for kids?" (we talk about Splenda not being ok for kids so this is where the wording is coming from 🙂

And yesterday, while I was working from home in the morning, SPL was with Emily, his nanny, and said to me, when I came out of our back office, "Why are you not here yet?" Meaning, why are you still here or why have you not left yet? 🙂
And my favorite, from last night (this one’s for you Grandee): "Let’s watch that on the Apple TV!" (first time I’d heard him use that term since the Apple TV came to live with us this month)
