Bampa and Myra come to visit part II
Saturday (April 26 – I'm super behind in my blogging :-/) was our last day together and after a slow start morning (we were all a bit tired) we drove up to Marin to see the Marin Headlands and the Nike Missile Site (which are part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area). It was a beautiful day and SPL napped in the van as we drove to San Francisco.
Marin dazzled us once again with spectacular views of the and of course, We got our obligatory photos: and (love SPL's reaction to having his photo taken).
After our trip to Marin, we . We didn't have time to stop but we did quickly see views of the Palace of Fine Arts, , and out our windows.
We had the perfect ending to a fun weekend: dinner at Chiaroscuro. We got their early and had the place to ourselves. At 7 pm, when we left, however, it was packed. The food was yummy and the staff was incredible! The chef himself visited our table and spoke with SPL a few times when we went back to the kitchen to watch (they had an open kitchen that had a glass wall on one side — perfect for a curious kid :-).
