…today we met SPL for the first time. He was 8 lbs 1 oz and 19 inches tall (though we think he was probably taller as he “grew” 2 inches in the first week). Today he’s over 43 inches tall and over 43 lbs. He loves workers and pretending he’s every kind of animal he can imagine, is developing a keen sense of humor, loves gardening and playing outside, and can count better in Mandarin than in English (thanks to Chun Hua 🙂 — among many other interests.
You can compare for yourself how much he’s grown.
He’s an observant and curious kid who is starting to really enjoy his friends and have a life outside of that which he shares with me and John. I would say that’s been one of the biggest changes from this time last year until now.
