The Age of Tall Tales

So I know that SPL has been MIA for the last 4 months and I have a blog post in the works hoping to fill in some of his adventures but in the short term, I didn't want to miss this story.  He's in to telling tales these days and sometimes can be very convincing.  It's fun to get swept away by his imagination :-) He's been @ camp with his old Tender Tracks buddies and Teacher Wendolyn for this entire week: each day 9-2 pm.  Today he told me this this fun tale on our way to get dinner @ Chipotle: SPL:  "I took my bow and arrow that I made with Wendolyn to camp today (I know this was not true).  And I used it to catch fish." Me:  Oh, tell me more about that. SPL:  "I would shoot the (homemade wooden stick) arrows and they would "go so fast" that they got the fish.  We even could a shark and pulled all of its teeth out!  I caught lots of fish too." Me:  "Cool." SPL:  And when we were climbing the big sand dune -- you know the one I was telling you about earlier -- the one with the rope in it to help you climb? Me: Yes. SPL: well, I was the only one to look up and see the earth above us move.  and then it slid d'own the hill. Me: You mean like an avalanche? SPL: Yeah, an avalanche.  and it buried all of us kids but Angelina got out.  She got out first and started looking for the rest of us. Me: Wow. That's very exciting. SPL:  There were caves right behind the dunes and I put the shark and the fish teeth in the cave.  there were boulders on top and they were on me too.  It wasn't easy to get out of the boulders but I pushed them.  One boulder trapped Wendolyn's leg and Maya and Angelina said, 'stop worrying about your leg Wendolyn .  Let's worry about finding SPL for now.'  Then the boulder pushed Wendolyn's shoe away. The End (because we arrived at Chipotle by that time and he switched gears into food mode ;-)
