The Great White Sharks took on the Tidalwaves in the first game of the Fall 2012 AYSO season. SPL's team, the Great White Sharks, were matched against a team that is coached by a parent from our Fall 2011 team. Team members of the Tidalwaves include 3 friends from SPL's school, including CM, who was on our team last fall. SPL especially enjoyed
and said it was because "I know how he plays." :-)
The Great White Sharks have some great skillz to start the season -- passing and spacing seem to be concepts they are able to implement (compared with last fall and spring when it was challenging for them). SPL got 3 goals and the team triumphed in a big win (after halftime, the boys were able to implement a good sportsmanship strategy of making 4 touches to the ball before going for a goal). Having been on the other side of these types of lopsided wins, we know how it feels.
We are also fortunate to have 2 seasoned coaches in John and Alicia!
