We’ve had a busy August and much of the fun was due to my cousin Holly’s wedding on August 19th.  This occasion brought much of the KY crew to CA: my grandparents and Aunt Gingy (mom’s folks and sister), as well as my uncle Jim and Aunt Barbara (mom’s younger brother and his wife).  We missed David and Daniel (Jim and Barb’s boys) but understood their absence — both just started new jobs after law school/undergrad so they’re busy settling in to "life after college."  Grandma Linda was also in attendance which always makes for a fun weekend :-).

Wednesday the 16th we had a house full — Beth’s trio came over (skipped school 😉 as well as the grandparents and Gingy.  Along with the visitors, of course, came muchisimas gifts, including small weaving looms for the trio and a big, furry, soft stuffed dog for SPL.

The weekend culminated in all of us attending Holly and Brent’s reception in Lafayette (East Bay).  It was beautiful and we had a lot of fun.  SPL had a blast exploring the gardens and fountain outside.  Of special interest was the doorjam (note the impeccable color coordination 😉 of one of the garden doors (though I don’t think I included it in the video montage).  Will upload separately.

Congrats to the parents of the bride, Debbie and Scott, for hosting a lovely celebration :-).

And many thanks to all the KY folks and Grandma Linda for making the trip.  It was great to have time to visit.
