New words: “Peelem” or “Peelit”
SPL and I have been picking oranges from the branches that hang over into our yard from our neighbor’s tree. It’s a new experience for him and he’s really into peeling them, in addition to picking them (we also pick up the ones that bomb our garden — he’s quick to notice new arrivals in the morning and gets really focused on picking them up — to the point of insisting that we do it "now" even though it’s cold and the sun’s barely up :-).
In listening to him interpret what I say, it’s clear that he hears the words as one, not two and he pronounces them "peelem" or "peelit" (that’s "peel them" or "peel it" not "pee lem" and "pee lit" :-).
