SPL's Blog

So this morning SPL was channeling some of his favorite story books.  He started off by climbing into his chair, ready for his milk and announcing "Sam I am.  Mommy I am." 

And then later:
SPL:  "Remember Leonardo the Terrible Monster mommy?  and the perfect candidate (words from the story — Leonardo, since he isn’t that great of a monster, researches the most scaredy cat kid so he’s sure to have success and "scare the tuna salad out of him")?"
KH: "Yes SPL.  Who was the perfect candidate?"
SPL: "Leonardo?"
KH:  "No, Leonardo was the monster – who was the perfect candidate?"
SPL:  "Sam! (with a triumphant smile)"

And then finally:
SPL:  "Mommy, there are 2 birds on your head (his new favorite story series: Gerald and Piggie by Mo Willems — this one is titled There is a Bird on Your Head)."
KH: "I do not want 2 birds on my head."
SPL: "Now there are 5 birds on your head (taking liberties with the storyline :-).
