words

I don’t usually remember SPL’s new words these days but 3 struck me yesterday:

twinkling — from the holidays, SPL loved looking at the lights decorating people’s houses and asked "Why are they flashing?"  The next night we were driving through another neighborhood and he asked, applying his new knowledge, "are those lights twinkling?"

decoration — we were visiting some friends who recently had a new baby yesterday and on our way up their apartment stairs, he pointed to a plant that had a scarecrow looking stake and said, "That’s a scarecrow.  Is it decoration?"

washable — this one surprised me as it was the first time he’d used it with me.  We were playing in our playroom and he said something about painting.  Then he looked at me and said,"don’t worry, it’s washable paint.  That means it’ll come out of your pants if you wash them."

Happy Friday everyone!

And in other news — John gets back from Europe tonight — wOOt!

And SPL sends out special love and hi to his TX grandma who’s "going to the doctor" (SPL’s words — she’s having foot surgery) today.  We love you!
