"I call her Nan"

  "I call her Nan"

SPL’s Nana came to visit us on Sunday April 20th from Nashville, TN.  He quickly decided to change his name for her though — and announced early in the week "I call her Nan." 🙂  So Nan it is!

It was a fun week!  She stayed with SPL all day on Monday while John and I worked, came with us to Mandarin music class on Tuesday, and preschool on Wednesday!  She played countless games of Zingo (and laughed as SPL blocked her attempts to see the cards so he could get them first), played soccer in the back yard, visited SPL’s garden with him, and loved it when SPL would get up early and race in to crawl into bed with her, books, Bobo, and new quilt (from Nan!) in hands :-).

She even inspired him to some new imaginary play: he started teaching class in his bedroom with his "students," the stuffed animals, in the bed.  And then there was the never-ending nose kiss Wednesday night on the couch — it was a bit on the gross side but it was hilarious :-). (video to come — yes, I caught it 😉

Stay tuned for more of the week’s fun as Bampa, John’s grandfather and SPL’s great-Bampa :-), arrived on Wednesday April 23 to hang out with us for the weekend.  We went to Stanford’s Design School, walked around the Stanford campus, went to the Monterey Aquarium, and to San Francisco.
