SPL started his "young 5s" school year on September 8. I am really pleased with how it is going: they do a lot of science :-), writing, cooking, and gardening. There is more structure than last year which is a good transition for SPL (but there's still some free choice time which he needs :-). There are 22 kids in the class and each parent volunteers 1X/week. 3 kids are ones we knew from previous classes and the rest are new.
Since he's only in school 3 afternoons per week, we have time to do Mandarin and swimming as well (plus I get more time with him :-).
